TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 KAWASAKI EN500CLTD MOTORCYCLE. BY FEDERAL REGULATION, THE VEHICLE MUST HAVE REARVIEW MIRRORS THAT THE OPERATOR CAN SAFELY UTILIZE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MIRRORS ARE TOO LOW AND NARROW FOR HIM TO PROPERLY SEE THE OBJECTS IN THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. HE COULD ONLY SEE HIS SHOULDERS IN THE REARVIEW MIRRORS AND NOT THE TRAFFIC IN THE REAR. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT NOTHING COULD BE DONE AND WOULD NOT ADDRESS HIS CONCERNS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,400 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 2,700.
