I am writing to provide you with an update regarding the unfortunate incident that occurred on May 27th, involving the Kaufman trailer and my truck. On that day, shortly after receiving the plates for the trailer, an accident occurred due to the brakes not functioning properly. As a result, the loaded trailer pushed the truck downhill, causing it to jackknife and collide with the truck. I have emails from the manufacturer informing me that the brakes will not work on there trailers as delivered. The problem is that the brakes have an anti corro…

The contact's employer owns a 2024 Kaufman GVWR 38500 gooseneck trailer. The contact stated that while the trailer was empty and being hitched to a 2023 Ford F-450, the trailer was raised 4 1/2 inches off the ground, scraping the roadway. The contact's company, a trailer manufacturer, was unable to adjust the hitch height above 4 1/2 inches from the ground. The trailer was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and recommended adding an extension to raise the hitch height; however, the contact stated that the front of the …
