The “Forward Collision Warning” system failed while actively driving on the highway. The vehicle has less than 200 miles on the odometer. The vehicle has been checked into service for a possible failed module.

The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Renegade. The contact stated that while her daughter was driving in traffic, several warning lights appeared on the instrument panel as the vehicle stalled. The contact's daughter called the police who assisted her daughter with moving the vehicle off the roadway. The vehicle was towed to the dealer. My vehicle, Jeep Renegade only has 5,526 miles on it and I purchased it brand new on June 11th 2022. On Monday, October 10th 2022 at approximately 1325 hours, I was driving the vehicle in the left lane on the Grand Central Parkway, a major highway in NYC, when the vehicle shut down on its own in moderate traffic. I purchased the vehicle at 15 miles and about 2 months after purchase while driving, the front collision warning light came on and there was no reason why the light came on. First, this vehicle is burning 1 quart of oil every 750 miles. Being unaware, when driving, engine shudder and tried to fail, making me unable to accelerate through an intersection. When trying to accelerate, the vehicles RPMs extend above 4 if I don’t accelerate at an extremely slow pace. I can not get up to speed quickly when going on to a freeway. Part number 68536883AA has failed and forward collision system is inop. 1st event was November in Arkansas Dealer told my wife to wash the vehicle and it would clear the fault. It reset itself before she washed it. Although, washing has nothing to do with the problem. it failed again and brought it to the dealer in Flagler beach FL. the part was ordered 12/1/2022 on backorder since. When traveling down the road immediately after starting the Jeep the engine coolant hot indicator light comes on and the car engine shuts down and the steering wheel locks. The engine coolant is not hot since the car was just started. To fix issue at that moment I had to bring car to a complete stop in the middle of the road ( very dangerous ) and wait a few seconds and then try to restart the car. Reported: 2024-07-03 (July 3, 2024)

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2017-2024 Alfa Romeo Giulia, 2018-2025 Alfa Romeo Stelvio, 2019-2023 Fiat 500X, Jeep Renegade, and 2024 Fiat 500E vehicles. A seat belt buckle switch sensor may be improperly connected, preventing the front seat air bag from deploying as intended.

Consequence: A front seat air bag that does not deploy as intended can increase the risk of injury in a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will repair the connection, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed beginning August 27, 2024. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 82B.

Reported: 2024-12-10 (December 10, 2024)

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Jeep Renegade vehicles. The incorrect bumper reverse light assembly may have been installed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Consequence: The incorrect reverse lights may have reduced visibility, and not alert pedestrians and other drivers that the vehicle is backing up, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the bumper reverse light assembly, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 30, 2025. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is D7B.
