1999 JAYCO LIGHT HAWK THE FLOOR ON OUR 3 YEAR OLD CAMPER IS MILDEWED IT BECAUSE IT WAS BUILT WRONG.JAYCO DID NOT WRAP THE WATERPROOFING MATERIAL HIGH ENOUGH INTO THE WALLS.WHICH LEAVES US WITH A CAMPER WITH A MILDEWED AND ROTTING FLOOR.WE HAVE TAKEN CARE OF THIS CAMPER.WE STILL OWE ON THIS UNIT .WE WANT THEM TO BUYT IT BACK NOT JUST FIX IT AND LEAVE US OUT TO DRY.THEY WILL NOT WARRANTY THE WORK. THEY WILL NOT FIX ANY FUTURE PROBLEMS WITHOUT IT BEING BROUGHT BACK TO THEM FOR AN ASSESMENT.DID WE NEGLECT THE CAMPER AFTER IT WAS FIXED??? OR IS IT B…

Reported: 2002-10-22 (October 22, 2002)
ON CERTAIN TRAVEL TRAILERS, MOTOR HOMES, AND FIFTH WHEEL CAMPERS EQUIPPED WITH NORCOLD REFRIGERATOR COOLING UNITS, MODEL NUMBERS N841, N821, N641, AND N621. THESE REFRIGERATORS CAN EXPERIENCE A COOLING SYSTEM LEAK CAUSED BY OPERATION IN THE AC ELECTRIC MODE. IF A LEAK OCCURS, THE COOLING PERFORMANCE OF THE REFRIGERATOR WILL DETERIORATE, REQUIRING IMMEDIATE REPLACEMENT OF THE COOLING UNIT.
Consequence: EXTENDED OPERATION OF A LEAKING COOLING UNIT IN THE AC ELECTRIC MODE CAN RESULT IN A FIRE.
Remedy: NORCOLD WILL INSPECT AND REPLACE THE REFRIGERATOR COOLING UNITS. OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT NORCOLD AT 1-800-767-9101 OR JAYCO AT 1-574-825-0608.
