WE WERE TRAVELING SOUTHBOUND ON HIGHWAY IL45 IN SOUTHERN ILLINOIS WHEN OUR DRIVER'S SIDE REAR TIRE ON OUR FIFTH WHEEL CAMPER BLEW OUT. IT CAUSED NOT ONLY A BLOWN TIRE, BUT ALSO CAUSED THE STABILIZER BARS TO BREAK. WHEN SPEAKING TO SEVERAL VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE 5TH WHEEL OWNERS AND TIRE SERVICE DEALERS, WE HAVE LEARNED THAT THE TIRES PUT ON OUR CAMPER HAD BARELY MET U.S. LOAD/WEIGHT STANDARDS. THERE HAVE BEEN NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE "POWER KING" BRAND (CHEAP, MADE IN CHINA), THAT WERE PUT ON OUR CAMPER. THE JAYCO EAGLE IS A VERY HEAVY CAMP…

Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling various 2002-2016 recreational vehicles equipped with Kidde Plastic-Handle or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers. A list of the affected trailer models is available at: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2017/RMISC-17V746-9524.pdf. Consequence: In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.
Remedy: Jayco will notify owners, instructing them to contact Kidde for a replacement fire extinguisher, free of charge. The recall began on January 15, 2018.
