TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 JAYCO WHITE HAWK. WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS SMOKE COMING FROM THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CAMPER. THE VEHICLE WAS PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. UPON INSPECTING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE BRACKETS THAT ATTACH THE SPRING HANGERS TO THE FRAME FRACTURED FROM THE FRAME. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND SENT OUT A MECHANIC. NEW BRACKETS THAT HOLD THE SPRING HANGERS WERE WELDED ONTO THE FRAME. THE VEHICLE WA…

2018 JAYCO WHITE HAWK TRAILER. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARD TO SAFETY ISSUES CONCERNING BENT AXLES THAT CAUSES TIRES TO BLOWOUT. *AS THE CONSUMER STATED THE MANUFACTURER WAS WILLING TO REPLACE THE AXEL BUT, WITH THE SAME PARTS THAT FAILED PREVIOUSLY. THE CONSUMER STATED THE DEALER CHECKED OTHER VEHICLES OF THE SAME MAKE AND MODEL ON THE LOT AND THEY ALSO HAD BENT AXLES. *JS

A weld failed on a spring hanger in the suspension to the frame on the passenger side rear axle. It dropped down and shifted the front axle which destroyed the front axle causing the wheel bearings to get hot and weld together. The trailer is currently at an RV Repair Shop being repaired. If we had not noticed this when we did, it could have caused a fire or accident on the highway. The RV Repair Shop which is repairing our problem had this same issue in their shop two weeks prior. The trailer has not been inspected by anyone other than the RV…

Tha front cap appears to be moving or the body is flexing too much. This is causing the sides to come out of the front trim moulding. If this happens going down the highway while in tow it could cause the side of the trailer to be torn off.

Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2017-2018 Jayco Designer, 2017-2021 Eagle HT, Eagle, Jay Feather, Jay Flight SLX, Jay Flight, North Point, Octane Superlite, Pinnacle, White Hawk, 2017-2020 Eagle HT, 2018-2021 Jay Flight Bungalow, 2017-2019 Octane, and 2019-2020 Eagle HTX travel trailers and fifth wheels equipped with a Winntec model 6020 two-stage propane regulator. The regulator may fail, causing an increase in propane pressure.
Consequence: Increased propane pressure can enlarge the flames in gas appliances, increasing the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the regulator and test the propane system for leaks, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 3, 2021. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267.
