THIS 5TH WHEEL AS WELL AS MANY OTHERS WITH THE SAME DESIGN HAVE METAL FRAME FAILURE. THE FRAME IS BENDING BY THE PIN BOX DUE TO POOR DESIGN RESULTING IN THE TRAILER PULLING AWAY FROM THE FRAME AND BREAKING WELD POINTS AND FASTENERS. THERE'S MANY REPORTS ON THE INTERNET AS WELL AS MY INSURANCE DENIED MY CLAIM AND CONCLUDED THAT THE METAL FRAME FAILURE IS A RESULT OF WEAKENING OVER A PERIOD OF TIME DUE TO METAL FATIGUE, POOR DESIGN AND SOMETIMES POOR WELDING AT THE FACTORY.
