COMPLETETED A TURN FROM OFF RAMP AND DRIVING STRAIGHT WITH A SPEED OF APPROXIMATELY 35 MILES PER HOUR WHEN VEHICLE LOST STEERING CONTROL AND BRAKING POWER. INPUTS TO THE STEERING AND BRAKING HAD NO EFFECT ON CHANGING VEHICLE COURSE AND/OR SPEED. THE VEHICLE SUBSEQUENTLY IMPACTED A GUARD RAIL AND WAS THEN HIT BY A SEMI TRUCK. NONE OF THE AIR BAGS IN THE VEHICLE DEPLOYED. ROAD CONDITIONS WERE DRY AND THE ACCIDENT OCCURED DURING THE AFTERNOON. SOME THING SHOULD BE DONE WHILE DRIVING MY 2003 JAGUAR XKR CONVERTIBLE ONE NIGHT AT HIGHWAY SPEED WITH THE TOP DOWN, THE HYDRAULIC FLUID FROM THE CONVERTIBLE TOP STARTED LEAKING FROM THE CENTER LOCK DOWN MECHANISM ON THE WINDSHIELD FRAME. AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WAS SOMETHING FROM THE OUTSIDE. SO I WIPED MY FACE WITH MY HAND AND HEN FELT AN OILY SUBSTANCE ALL OVER. 2002 JAGUAR XKR. CONSUMER STATES PROBLEM WITH VEHICLE HEAD RESTS *TGW THE CONSUMER STATED THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER HEAD RESTS DID NOT GO UP OR DOWN AND THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO GO DOWN UNDER POWER. WHEN THE TOP WAS RAISED OR LOWERED, THE PASSENGER HEAD REST WAS TOO HIGH TO PROTECT THE OCCUPANT. *JB
