DT: INFINITI G20 1996. TIRE SEPARATION OCCURRED ON THREE OF FOUR OF THE TIRES. THE DEALER SAID THAT THEY DID NOT KNOW WHY THE DEFECT HAPPENED, AND THE REPLACEMENT TIRES WERE DOING THE SAME THING. WHEN MY DAUGHTER WENT TO BUCKLE HER SEATBELT IN THE BACK SEAT OF MY CAR, THE BUCKLE WOULDN'T LATCH. I TRIED IT, TOO--THE METAL PIECE SLID INTO THE OTHER PART WITHOUT LATCHING. THEN IT'D LATCH; NEXT TRY IT WOULDN'T. I COULDN'T TRUST THE SEATBELT, SO WE COULDN'T LET THE CHILDREN RIDE IN THAT CAR ANY LONGER. THANKFULLY THE SEATBELT FAILED WHEN WE WERE BUCKLING THE CHILD IN THE CAR IN THE DRIVEWAY HEADING OUT--AND NOT DURING AN ACCIDENT, OR ON THE WAY HOME. FAULTY FALKEN TIRES JUST OVER FOUR MONTHS AGO ON JUNE 2, 2015, I PURCHASED AND HAD INSTALLED TWO FALKEN TIRES, P195/65R14 SINCERA T, FROM WALMART IN COTTONWOOD, ARIZONA. ON OR NEAR OCTOBER 1, 2015 BOTH TIRES BLEW OUT WITHIN TWO DAYS OF ONE ANOTHER AFTER LESS THAN 1000 MILES. THE OUT-OF-STATE REPLACEMENT DEALER CLAIMED THE TIRES WERE FAULTY. VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: PASSENGER VEHICLES ORIGINALLY SOLD OR CURRENTLY REGISTERED IN THE FOLLOWING STATES: CONNECTICUT, DELAWARE, ILLINOIS, INDIANA, IOWA, MAINE, MARYLAND, MASSACHUSETTS, MICHIGAN, MINNESOTA, NEW HAMPSHIRE, NEW JERSEY, NEW YORK, OHIO, PENNSYLVANIA, RHODE ISLAND, VERMONT, WEST VIRGINIA, WISCONSIN, AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA. CORROSION OF THE FUEL FILLER TUBE ASSEMBLY CAN OCCUR, ESPECIALLY THOSE VEHICLES OPERATED IN THE "SALT BELT," RESULTING IN FUEL LEAKAGE.

Consequence: FUEL LEAKAGE IN THE PRESENCE OF AN IGNITION SOURCE CAN RESULT IN A FIRE.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE FUEL FILLER TUBE AND REPLACE THE TUBE WITH A NEW ONE. ANY OTHER COMPONENTS OF THE FUEL FILLER TUBE ASSEMBLY WHICH ARE DAMAGED OR DETERIORATED WILL ALSO BE REPLACED.
