Owner report 11608265 · 2024-08-13 (August 13, 2024)
If I wear dark sunglasses, the forward collision avoidance turns off while using cruise control. If I wear lighter sunglasses, it is fine. Unfortunately, I have to wear darker sunglasses due to previous eye surgery. I am unable to utilize cruise control without compromise to my eyes because forward collision avoidance doesn’t work with darker glasses. This happens every time I test it and change sunglasses with differing shades of protection.

Owner report 11610759 · 2024-08-25 (August 25, 2024)
The infotainment screen on my 2024 santa fe hybrid started flickering around 3k miles and right now at around 4.5k miles, 95% of the times it stays dark and unresponsive, 5% of the time it comes on but constantly flickers and only works the other 5%. We have no way to monitor reverse camera and for a car with lots of blind spots, this has become a safety hazard. I tried the small reset button next to the right knob on the center console but no results. There's an open Reddit thread on other owners expressing the same concern. This is nothing …

Owner report 11611729 · 2024-08-29 (August 29, 2024)
Forward attention warning camera continues to malfunction stating camera is obscured even when not. If cruise is allowed to be engaged the camera will randomly decide it doesn’t detect your face and will hard brake to stop the car. This has happened multiple times to me, narrowly avoiding collision from behind. Hyundai refuses to address the issue because their technicians can’t duplicate the issue so they state the car is safe to drive. Camera becomes hot to the touch much like an overheating cell phone. At times camera can be covered complete…

Owner report 11612883 · 2024-09-05 (September 5, 2024)
The trunk will occasionally not open. The car and trunk are unlocked, and when you pull the handle to open the trunk the car beeps like it's trying to open it, but it will fail to open and will then give some failure beeps. This has happened to me several times, and I've read online this issue has happen to others too. This is a safety hazard and makes the trunk unusable when it happens. I have a video of the trunk not opening, but it doesn't look like I'm able to upload videos files to this submission.

Owner report 11614785 · 2024-09-16 (September 16, 2024)
Brand new vehicle purchased through Clement Hyundai. Within a couple hundred miles, multiple times vehicle goes into neutral on its own while driving. Have to stop the vehicle and turn off engine to try to get it into drive to get off the road. Takes several attempts to get into drive. Major safety hazard! Repaired once by Jefferson City Hyundai. Same problem happening again. Car not drivable as it is a safety concern. Have found multiple online forums wherein people are having the exact same problem.

Owner report 11621674 · 2024-10-24 (October 24, 2024)
If am wearing my sunglasses or I am holding the steering wheel in a certain way my car will assume I am not looking at the road and turn off my cruise control. If I do not take my sunglasses off right away or move my arm my car starts breaking and alerts me to take control of me vehicle. My driver Attention setting is off. I have almost been rear ended twice because of this. Hyundai has acknowledged that is this a serious design flaw and a safety concern but has no solution

Owner report 11623316 · 2024-11-03 (November 3, 2024)
We purchased our '24 Santa Fe hybrid on 9/18/24 new with no problems. On 10/8/24, about three weeks later, I was stopped at a stoplight after exiting the freeway. When the light turned green, I accelerated and felt a clunk, then the car would not accelerate past about 30 mph. Several warning lights came up on the dash. I could hear the engine revving, but it felt like it wouldn't go into the next gear. I thought I could make it to the dealership, which was only a few miles away. But at the next stoplight, I was stopped in a turn lane, and when …
