THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MOTORCYCLE STATED THAT THE SEATS WERE OVERHEATING TO THE POINT OF CAUSING BURNS TO THE SKIN. XTREME POWERSPORTS (1019 US-301, TAMPA, FL 33619, [phone removed]) WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT IT WAS A KNOW ISSUE AND THAT THE SEATS NEEDED TO BE PROPERLY INSULATED. THE MOTORCYCLE WAS NOT YET REPAIRED. The contact owns a 2020 Honda Motorcycle SXS1000 (PIONEER 1000). The contact stated that while crossing a creek at 5 MPH, he hit a hole which caused the motorcycle to roll over into the creek. Upon landing in the water, the contact attempted to exit the motorcycle but the seatbelt would not detach. As the contact struggled to release himself, his girlfriend who was also on the motorcycle, made three separate attempts to release the seat belt and was finally successful on the third attempt. The contact stated that while driving at a speed unknown, when it was placed into low gear and drive it would disengage from low gear causing the side-by-side to flip downhill. The contact hit another motorist and came to a stop. The contact received injuries to their hands however due to them being harnessed in they did not receive many injuries. The contact stated that while accelerating at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle inadvertently accelerated, the contact then stated that he depressed the brake pedal however, the vehicle failed to stop. As a result, the vehicle crashed into a tree. The contact sustained an injury to the head that required medical attention at the ER.
