Owner report 10722444 · 2015-05-30 (May 30, 2015)

THIS IS A MOTORCYCLE MISHAP. WHILE EXITING FREEWAY I ENCOUNTERED A PAVEMENT DEPRESSION APPROX ONE INCH DEEP WITH A TWO FOOT DIAMETER. SUSPENSION WAS INEFFECTIVE IN ABSORBING THE SHOCK OF THIS EVENT. THE SHARP UPWARD MOTION OF THE HANDLEBARS KNOCKED MY HANDS OFF. WHEN THE REAR WHEEL HIT THE DEPRESSION THE WHEEL LEFT THE GROUND AND CAUSED THE BIKE TO CAREEN TO THE LEFT AND LEAVE THE RAMP INTO VEGETATION BEFORE CONTROL WAS REGAINED. I WAS NOT INJURED DAMAGE WAS MINIMAL. POINT HERE IS I HAVE BEEN RIDING ALL SORTS OF MOTORCYCLE FOR OVER FORTY YEARS…
