Owner report 10787021 · 2015-10-29 (October 29, 2015)

JUST BOUGHT A HONDA CRV-TOURING, VIBRATIONS HAVE STARTED AROUND 600 MILES, WHEN IN A STOPED POSITION, IN DRIVE, AFTER IT HAS HEATED UP, BOUGHT THIS BECAUSE WE NEEDED A SMOOTH RIDE (WHICH SEEMED AT FIRST DRIVE), VIBRATIONS AGGRAVATE MY SPASTICITY, AND CAN CAUSE SEIZURES IN SOME PEOPLE. DO NOT KNOW IF IT IS FROM ENGINE OR TRANSMISSION,, AND IT COMES UP THROUGH THE STEERING WHEEL.

BACK IN NOVEMBER OF 2016 I HAD AN ACCIDENT, WHICH I BELIEVE WAS CAUSED BY A MALFUNCTION IN THE CAR. RIGHT BEFORE LOOSING CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE MY TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT FLASHED RAPIDLY ON THE DASH CAUSING MY CAR TO JOLT AND LOOSE TRACTION. I HAD SPUN AND HIT HEAD ON TO THE SIDE OF THE MOUNTAIN. A FEW MORE FEET TO THE LEFT AND I WOULD'VE FLEW OFF THE MOUNTAIN. I THEN HAD MY CAR TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY READ ALL THE CODES ON MY CAR TO SEE IF IT REALLY WAS A CAR MALFUNCTION. THE 2 CODES THAT BROUGHT CONCERN TO ME WHERE THE ( 61-1 BATT…

In 2010 to 2016 Honda CR-Zs the exterior door handles will fail without any symptoms. Leaving the driver unable to unlatch the door without being inside. The problem has not been addressed by Honda, but many owners have reported it being a common problem. The door handle latch tends to break under hot or cold environments and under light to heavy stress when attempting to open the door

Owner report 11702956 · 2025-12-04 (December 4, 2025)

The airbag light started coming on somewhere (approx) around 100K miles. I noticed that MANY hondas had takata airbags and were recalled. My airbag is also sourced from takata and I'm concerned for my safety and wondered if my car was overlooked because CR-Z models had very low volume of production. I wanted to check. I cannot financially replace this as the cost exceeds the value of the car, but it runs great and I need it for commuting. PLEASE double-check as my hunch is that my car was overlooked when assessing the takata air bag disast…

2 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

16V061000 · Air Bags:Frontal:Driver Side:Inflator Module

Reported: 2016-02-03 (February 3, 2016)

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain model year 2007-2011 Honda CR-V, 2011-2015 CR-Z, 2010-2014 FCX, and Insight, 2009-2013 Fit, 2013-2014 Fit EV, 2007-2014 Ridgeline, 2013-2016 Acura ILX, 2013-2014 Acura ILX Hybrid, 2007-2016 RDX, 2005-2012 Acura RL, 2009-2014 Acura TL, and 2010-2013 Acura ZDX vehicles. The affected vehicles are equipped with a dual-stage driver frontal air bag that may be susceptible to moisture intrusion which, over time, could cause the inflator to rupture.

Consequence: In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the driver's frontal air bag, the inflator could rupture with metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants resulting in serious injury or death.

Remedy: Honda will notify owners, and dealers will replace the inflator, free of charge. The recall began March 2017. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are JY0, JY1, and JY2.
