TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 ALUMLINE MOTORCYLE TRAILER (NA). THE AXLE IS LOCATED IN THE CENTER OF THE TRAILER WHEN IT SHOULD BE LOCATED CLOSER TO THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER SENT CABINETS TO ADD WEIGHT TO THE TRAILER. IN ADDITION, THE TONGUE WEIGHT IS THREE PERCENT INSTEAD OF TEN PERCENT. THE TRAILER SWAYS WHENEVER IT IS USED. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 2,000.

I OWN A SMALL RV RENTAL COMPANY WITH 4 TRAVEL TRAILERS. ALL OF THESE TRAILERS WERE MANUFACTURED BY R-VISION, A SUBSIDIARY OF MONACOCOACH CORP. THE GRAY/BLACK WATER TANK MOUNTS ARE DEFECTIVE ON THE SE UNITS AND THE TANKS WILL FALL OUT FROM UNDER THE UNITS WHEN THEY ARE HALF FULL AND ABOVE. THE METAL ANGLE IRON(4' LENGTHS) ALSO COME LOOSE AND CAN FALL OUT ONTO THE ROAD. I HAVE 3 DIFFERENT MODELS, MAX-SPORT, TRAILCRUISER, AND TRAIL-LITE, AND ALL THREE HAVE HAD FAILURES. I SPOKE TO AN R-VISION DEALER AND HE TOLD ME THAT THEY HAVE A FIX FOR THIS SO…

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 HALLMARK INDUSTRIES (NA) TRAILER. WHILE DRIVING AT LEAST 70 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD A SQUEAKING NOISE. HE NOTICED EXTENSIVE WEAR ON THE TIRES. THE REAR LEAF SPRING MOUNT OF THE REAR AXLE OF THE DRIVER'S SIDE TIRE WAS COMPLETELY DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE AXLE WAS DANGLING FROM THE LEAF SPRING MOUNT. A TRAILER SERVICE DEALER REPAIRED THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT APPLICABLE.

SINCE I PURCHASED 7 TIRES IN 2015 I LOST 6 OF THEM ON THE ROAD ON DIFFERENT DATES, ALL DO TO THREAD SEPARATION DEALER REPLACED THE TIRE UNDER MFG WARRANTY BUT THE DAMAGES LEFT ON THE TRAILER IS SIGNIFICANT LUCKILY NO ONE INJURED OR DAMAGES TO OTHER ON THE ROAD , JUST FOUND OUT THAT THEES TIRES HAS BEN RECALLED IN 2014 ITS STILL IN THE MARKET BEN OFFERED TO CONSUMERS IN THE PHOENIX AZ

Reported: 2007-11-27 (November 27, 2007)

ON CERTAIN TRAVEL TRAILERS, THE CONVERTER NEUTRAL WIRE WAS CONNECTED TO THE BONDING (GROUND) BAR INSTEAD OF THE NEUTRAL BAR.

Consequence: THIS COULD LEAD TO A SITUATION WITH A SHOCK HAZARD INCREASING THE RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL REMOVE THE NEUTRAL WIRE FROM THE BONDING BAR AND INSTALL IT ON THE NEUTRAL BAR, BOTH OF WHICH ARE LOCATED IN THE LOAD CENTER OF THE VEHICLE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON DECEMBER 14, 2007. OWNERS MAY CONTACT MONACO AT 1-800-685-6545.
