TL* - THE CONTACT HAS A 2005 MONACO HOLIDAY RAMBLER WHICH IS HARD TO STEER STRAIGHT ON THE ROAD. THEN CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN DRIVING THE 30 FEET MOTOR HOME AT 55 MPH IT BECAME HARD TO STEER. THE ROAD AND WEATHER CONDITIONS HAVE NOT BEEN A PROBLEM. THE CONTACT SAID THAT HE HAD THE RV WEIGHED AND IT WAS NOT FOUND TO BE OVERLOADED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, BUT THE DEALER COULD NOT FIND THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. *AK UPDATED 2/16/2007 - *NM

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 HOLIDAY RAMBLER IMPERIAL. IN 25 BELOW DEGREE WEATHER, THE CONTACT WOULD START HIS VEHICLE AND THE ROTORS WOULD NOT RELEASE FROM THE BRAKE PADS. THIS CREATED A DRAGGING EFFECT. WHILE DRIVING LESS THAN A MILE, THE ROTORS WOULD HEAT UP AND SMOKE WOULD APPEAR FROM THE SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT EXAMINED THE BRAKE CHAMBER AND NOTICED THAT IT WAS FULL OF WATER. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN TO THE DEALER. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 42,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,500. ON CERTAIN CLASS A MOTOR HOMES, INCORRECT GAUGE AND WIRING WAS USED WHEN INSTALLING THE PATIO AWNING MOTOR.
Consequence: THE INCORRECT WIRING MAY ALLOW OVERLOADING OF THE WIRE, CREATING THE POTENTIAL FOR A FIRE.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL RELOCATE THE SLIDE-OUT OVERHEAD CONTROL BOX AND REWIRE THE PATIO AWNING MOTOR. THE RECALL BEGAN JULY 29, 2004. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT MONACO COACH AT 1-800-685-6545.

ON CERTAIN MOTORHOMES EQUIPPED WITH CUMMINS ENGINES, OIL CAN LEAK INTO THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT FROM A CRACK IN THE CUP PLUG.
Consequence: OIL LEAKAGE ON A HOT ENGINE CAN RESULT IN AN ENGINE COMPARTMENT FIRE, POSSIBLY RESULTING IN INJURIES.
Remedy: CUMMINS IS CONDUCTING THE OWNER NOTIFICATION AND REMEDY FOR THIS CAMPAIGN. CUMMINS WILL INSTALL A STEEL CUP PLUG BOSS CAP TO ALL AFFECTED ENGINES. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT CUMMINS CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE CENTER AT 1-800-343-7357 OR MONACO AT 1-800-685-6545.

ON CERTAIN CLASS A MOTOR HOMES EQUIPPED WITH VEHICLE SYSTEMS' AQUA-HOT AND HYDRO-HOT WATER HEATERS, WHICH USE WEBASTO BURNER TUBES, THE BURNER TUBES DO NOT MEET SPECIFICATIONS AND COULD FAIL PREMATURELY.
Consequence: THE SURFACE TEMPERATURE OF THE EXHAUST TUBE EXITING FROM THE HEATER CAN INCREASE AND COULD POTENTIALLY IGNITE COMBUSTIBLE MATERIALS IN OR AROUND THE VEHICLE.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE COMBUSTION CHAMBERS (BURNER TUBES) WITH A NEW ONE FREE OF CHARGE. OWNERS MAY CONTACT MONACO AT 1-800-685-6545.
