TRAVELING DOWN THE ROAD I HAD A TIRE FAILURE WITH TREAD MISSING AND WIRES HANGING OUT OF THE TIRE ON MY BOAT TRAILER. AT THE TIME I DIDN'T THINK MUCH OF IT THOUGHT I RAN OVER SOMETHING AND POPPED IT. REPLACED THE SAME DAY WITH A DIFFERENT BRAND AND WE WENT TO THE LAKE THE VERY NEXT DAY. AFTER RETUNING HOME MY WIFE NOTICED THAT WE HAVE ANOTHER TIRE WITH TREAD MISSING AND WIRES HANGING OUT BUT HAD NOT YET BLOWN. TOOK THAT TIRE AND THE REMAINING 2 ORIGINAL TIRES IN FOR INSPECTION ONLY TO FIND OUT THEY ALL WERE EGG SHAPED AND ABOUT READY TO FAIL AT…

Reported: 2016-08-12 (August 12, 2016)
Harbor Freight Tools (Harbor Freight) is recalling certain model year 2006-2016 Haul Master trailers, model numbers 90154, 42708, 90153, 66771, 42709, 94564 trailers, and 2013-2016 Haul Master trailers, model numbers 62170, 62209, 61730, and 69897. The affected trailers may be equipped with incorrectly positioned rear lamp brackets that may not illuminate the license plate. The lights fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Consequence: The trailers may be less visible to other drivers, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.
Remedy: Harbor Freight will notify owners and will provide them with a new tail light package, free of charge. The recall began on October 10, 2016. Owners may contact Harbor Freight customer service at 1-805-388-1000.
