2007 HARLEY DAVIDSON VRSCD FUEL GAUGE IMPROPERLY DETECTS THE FUEL LEVEL IN THE TANK WITH ERRATIC INDICATIONS BETWEEN FULL AND EMPTY LEAVING THE DRIVER UNSURE OF HOW MUCH FUEL REMAINS IN THE TANK. FAULT OCCURS EVERY TIME THE BIKE IS RIDDEN. H-D ATTEMPTED TO FIX THIS BY REPLACING THE FUEL SENDING UNIT IN AUGUST 2007. FAULT STILL REMAINS. NOT KNOWING REMAINING FUEL IN THE BIKE IS A GENERAL HAZARD TO SAFETY WHILE OPERATING ON PUBLIC ROADS DUE TO HIGH SPEED ENGINE STALLS CAUSED BY FUEL STARVATION, INCLINE FUEL STARVATION DURING UP HILL RIDING, OR S…

I WAS DRIVING HOME ON THE BACK ROAD GOING DOWN A HILL, I WENT TO SLOW DOWN TO MAKE A LEFT TURN AND WHEN I PUSHED ON MY REAR BRAKE BRACKET THERE WERE NO BRAKES, SO I DOWN SHIFTED MORE,WHEN I GOT HOME THERE WAS NO BRAKE FLUID LEFT. *TR
