EXCESSIVE HEAT IS COMING UP BELOW THE SEAT AND AT THE FOOT BOARDS DURING OPERATING VEHICLE. I HAVE HAD MY PANTS MATERIAL CATCH ON FIRE ONCE AND THE HEAT IS SO SEVERE I CANNOT EVEN RIDE THE MOTORCYCLE IN THE SUMMER FROM FEAR OF A HEAT STROKE. *JB

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HARLEY DAVIDSON FLTR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH, HE ATTEMPTED TO STOP THE VEHICLE BY APPLYING THE REAR BRAKE AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT BRAKE. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO STOP THE VEHICLE USING THE FRONTAL BRAKE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE AND THE CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 75,000. ....UPDATED 08-24-12 *BF THE CONSUMER STATED THE BRAKE SWITCH FAILED AFTER IT SHORTED AND MELTED. 2007 HARLEY ROAD GLIDE. THE HOUSING FOR STATOR FAILS. CRACKS INNER PRIMARY. IN SOME CASES. THE MAJOR COMPLIANT IS THAT THERE IS ONLY A UP GRADE KIT THAT COSTS $479.00. NOT TO INCLUDE TAX AN LABOR. IT HAS BEEN KNOWN TO JUST LOCK UP MOTOR. HOW CAN THIS NOT BE A RECALL AS OF YET THE OR OFF IS THERE UPGRADE KIT!!! IT'S NOT IF IT HAPPENS BUT WHEN!!! . I HAVE MANY COMPLAINTS ON THE 96" MOTORS BUT THE WORST IS THE CAM PLAYS NEED TO BE UPGRADED THE BEST THAT MAKES THE IS FUELING R&D.THET REALLY NEED TO STEP UP AN MAKE GOOD ON THESE RECALLS.
