Reported: 1990-06-06 (June 6, 1990)

IF THE WIRING OF CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM BECOMES WET WHILE ENGAGED, THERE IS A POSSIBILITY OF CREATING A SHORT CIRCUIT AND CRUISE CONTROL MALFUNCTION.

Consequence: THIS COULD CAUSE THE SPEED TO BEGIN INCREASINGAUTOMATICALLY WITH POTENTIAL FOR LOSS OF CONTROL AND AN ACCIDENT.

Remedy: REPLACE CRUISE CONTROL MODULE.
