DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE THE TRAILER WAS BEING PULLED AT 45 MPH WITH 1000 POUNDS OF CARGO. THE REAR AXEL BROKE LOOSE AND BECAME LODGED UNDERNEATH THE TRAILER. THE TRAILER WAS STOPPED AND THE REAR AXEL WAS TAKEN LOOSE AND REMOVED. IT WAS PULLED TO DEALER REPAIRS. 2004 H & H TRAILER, TANDEM AXEL CARGO TRAILER. *AK UPDATED 5/16/2006 - THE MANUFACTURER DID NOT DETERMINE THAT THE WAS MISUSED. THE AXLE WAS IMPROPERLY WELDED. THE MANUFACTURER REPLACED THE AXLE ASSEMBLY. *NM

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 HEART TRAILER WITH SUTUNG CORPORATION HI RUN LT TIRES, LINE SIZE 235/85 R16. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ALTHOUGH THE TREAT WAS STILL INTACT, THE TIRE WAS COMING APART. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND TOOK THE LIABILITY FOR THE TIRES. THE CONTACT STATED THIS WAS THE SECOND OCCURRENCE OF THE TIRE FAILURE ON THE SAME TYPE OF TIRES. THE TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS THE SAME FOR BOTH FAILURES. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 7,000 AND THE CURRENT WAS UNKNOWN.
