RECEIVED RECAL 03V329000 CONCERNING T-1CIRCUIT BREAKER. THE CONSUMER AND A DEALER HAVE TRIED TO CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER GULF STREAM TO GET THE PARTS FOR THE RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT RESPONDING TO THEIR REQUESTS. GULF STREAM BT CRUISER 2003. *AK

VARIOUS PROBLEMS WITH GULF STREAM COACH MODEL 6280. *MR WHILE DRIVING THE ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE HAD PLENTY OF OIL AND COOLANT AND WAS RUNNING SMOOTHLY. THE CONSUMER THEN TRIED A HIGHER GRADE OF GAS. THE ENGINE LIGHT DID NOT COME BACK ON, BUT THERE WAS A NOISE COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD. THE RV WAS TAKEN TO DEALER AND THE MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THE FUEL PUMP RELAY WAS BAD. THE FOLLOWING WEEK THE ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED AGAIN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ANOTHER DEALER AND THE CONSUMER WAS TOLD THAT THE PROBLEM THIS TIME WA…

THE SIZE IS LT235/75/16 THE MAKE IS DELTA ESSENTIAL .PREMATURE TIRE FAILURE , UNABLE TO HANDLE LOAD . PURCH. 6 TIRES AT THE SAME TIME ALL SIMULAR DATE OF PRODUCTION 2012. 3 OF SIX FAILED THIS SUMMER WITHIN 1,700 MILES OF EACHOTHER. ALL FAILURES WERE ON REAR PART OF A DUAL WHEEL SET. PROPERLY INFLATED COLD TO MAX AIR PRESSURE. ALL TIRES HAD 75% OR MORE TREAD LIFE. FAILURE INDICATED BY BAD VIBRATION THEN CROWNING OF TREAD AND EXCESSIVE HEAT FROM TIRE. ALL 3 STILL HAD AIR IN THEM. 03V329000 · Electrical System:Wiring:Fuses And Circuit Breakers

Reported: 2003-09-03 (September 3, 2003)

ON CERTAIN MOTOR HOMES EQUIPPED WITH T-1 THERMAL CIRCUIT BREAKERS, SURFACE MOUNT AND PANEL MOUNT, IF THE CIRCUIT BREAKER HANDLE IS HELD IN THE "ON" POSITION AFTER THE UNIT IS TRIPPED AND THE CIRCUIT CONTACTS WELD TOGETHER, HEAT MAY BE GENERATED THAT MAY DAMAGE ATTACHED OR ADJACENT WIRING CREATING A RISK OF FIRE.

Consequence: IN THE EVENT OF A FIRE, SERIOUS INJURY OR POSSIBLY DEATH COULD OCCUR.

Remedy: GULF STREAM WILL REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE CIRCUIT BREAKERS WITH BUSSMAN 185 SERIES CIRCUIT BREAKERS FREE OF CHARGE. THESE CIRCUIT BREAKERS CAN BE SENT DIRECTLY TO YOU OR TO A REPAIR FACILITY OF YOUR CHOOSING. OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN SEPTEMBER 15, 2003. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT GULF STREAM AT 1-800-482-6456.
