On June 5, 2025, while driving eastbound on Interstate 20 in Louisiana between Ruston and Monroe, the awning unexpectedly deployed while the RV was in motion. This sudden deployment posed a significant threat to myself, my passengers, and other motorists. Fortunately, no collision occurred, but the awning was destroyed, and the RV exterior sustained visible damage including multiple scratches. Reported: 2025-07-28 (July 28, 2025)
Grech Motors Inc. (Grech) is recalling certain 2022-2023, 2025 Terreno, 2021-2025 Turismo, and 2020-2025 Strada motorhomes. The retractable awning may extend unintentionally during transit.
Consequence: An awning extending unintentionally during transit may become a distraction or road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
Remedy: Dealers will install a lock plate, and replace the winch assembly, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 24, 2025. Owners may contact Grech customer service at 1-951-688-8347.
