OBSTRUCTED VIEW OUT OF WINDSHIELD ON PASSENGER SIDE. THE WIPER ONLY COVERS 2/3RDS OF THE PASSENGER SIDE OF WINDSHIELD. IN SNOW AND ICE STORM CONDITIONS THE PASSENGER SIDE WIPER IS NOT FUNCTIONAL AND BECAUSE A VISIBILITY SAFETY ISSUE. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 GMC SIERRA 1500. DURING AN ICE STORM, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE WINDSHIELD WIPER BLADE WAS FOUR INCHES AWAY AND DOES NOT TOUCH THE WINDSHIELD. AS A RESULT, THE WIPER CANNOT REMOVE ICE OR SNOW FROM THE WINDSHIELD. IN ADDITION, THE FRONT DEFROSTER DOES DEFROST THE FRONT WINDSHIELD. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 GMC SIERRA. THERE WAS A BURNT WIRE IN THE DRIVERS DOOR. THIS DISABLED THE ACTUATOR THAT LOCKS ALL FOUR DOOR WHEN THE KEY IS IN THE IGNITION, AND WHEN THE KEY IS TAKEN OUT OF THE IGNITION TO UNLOCK THE DOORS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE ACTUATOR IN THE DOOR AND THEN THE WIRING HARNESS NEED TO BE REPLACED. HOWEVER THE PARTS ARE ON BACK ORDER. ON 2-28-09 PURCHASED A NEW VEHICLE A 2009 GMC SIERRA 1500 2 WD EXT. CAB TRUCK IN EARLY DECEMBER 2009. NOTICED ON 4 OCCASIONS THE GAS PEDAL STICKING AND NOT ALLOWING THE DRIVER TO STOP ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION. WITNESSES WERE IN THE TRUCK. TOOK THE TRUCK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY STATED AFTER 2 DAYS THAT THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH TRUCK. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 GMC SIERRA 1500. WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE LIFTERS INSIDE THE MOTOR MALFUNCTIONED AND CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO MAKE A TICKING AND RATTLING SOUND. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 GMC SIERRA 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EMITTED SMOKE FROM THE EXHAUST PIPE SINCE IT WAS PURCHASED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE OIL WAS ADDED TO THE ENGINE. THE SERVICE MANAGER INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND STATED THAT THE ENGINE OIL LIFTER OPERATED AS A 4 OR 8 CYLINDER AND WHEN IT SHUT OFF, THE OIL SUPPLY RELEASED SMOKE. THE DEALER STATED THAT THEY COULD NOT SERVICE THE VEHICLE UNTIL THERE WAS A COMPLETE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 6. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 5,040.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 GMC SIERRA 1500. THE CONTACT STATED WHEN TURNING THE KEY TO OFF AND REMOVING IT FROM THE IGNITION, THE ENGINE WOULD REMAIN ON. General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2009-2014 Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD, 2009 GMC Topkick 5000, 6000, 7000 and 8000 Series and Isuzu F Series, and 2009-2018 Chevrolet Express, and GMC Savana vehicles, equipped with certain Plastic-Handle Fire Extinguishers or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or requiring excessive force to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. Consequence: In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.

Remedy: GM will notify owners, instructing them to contact Kidde to get a replacement fire extinguisher, free of charge. The recall began June 11, 2018. Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front passenger air bag inflator with an alternate one, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed on February 22, 2021. Second notification letters will be mailed once the remedy is available. Owner notification letters were mailed on March 1, 2021.
