I HAVE FOUND THAT YOU HAVE A RECALL FOR THIS (#98V150001), BUT IT ONLY APPLIES TO 1994 -1996 VEHICLES. MY 1992 HAS PROBLEMS WITH THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS ONLY WORKING INTERMITTENTLY. I BELIEVE THAT IT COULD BE THE SOLDER JOINTS AS WELL. THIS ISSUE MAY NOT BE LIMITED TO YEARS 1994-1996. PLEASE INVESTIGATE.*AK

93V016000 · Power Train:Automatic Transmission

Reported: 1993-02-01 (February 1, 1993)

UNANTICIPATED HEAT IN THE TRANSMISSION CAN FORCE THE TRANSMISSION FLUID OUT OF THE VENT TUBE.

Consequence: THE VENTED TRANSMISSION FLUID CAN CATCH FIRE IF EXPOSEDTO A SOURCE OF IGNITION.

Remedy: INSTALL A LONGER TRANSMISSION VENT HOSE ROUTED TO THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT OF THE VEHICLE.
