We purchased the Shasta travel trailer on 2/23/2023, & took it camping twice. When picking up trailer from the dealership after getting warranty work done on 5/16/2023, I noticed the spare had exploded. The tires had all the correct pressure, this spare had never hit the ground.

On [XXX] , a little before [XXX], my wife and I heard a loud "CRASH"-sound outside our house. Upon investigating the source of the noise, we discovered that the awning of our 2022 Forest River Shasta 18FQ travel trailer had completely fallen off the unit. Please note that this occurred on a sunny day with no wind, so weather was not a contributing factor. The awning at the time was totally retracted. We can only attribute this damage to structural failure of the awning's attachment to the body side of the trailer. We are very thankful that …
