The contact owned a 2021 Forest River Rockwood. The contact stated while driving approximately 60 mph and hauling the attached RV, the driver was alerted that there were flames and smoke coming from the RV. After stopping to inspect the RV it was discovered that flames and smoke were coming from the stove and oven area of the RV. The fire department was called to the scene and extinguished the flames. The contact owns a 2021 Forest River Rockwood RV. The contact stated that while driving approximately 65 MPH on the freeway, the RV was driven to a rest stop where it was discovered that the air conditioning unit had dislodged from the roof of the RV. The RV was taken to the local dealer where it was determined that the bolts used to secure the air conditioning unit to the top of the RV had failed. The RV was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 800.

The motors on the Dometic 9200 RV Awnings are failing. The motors do not have enough torque to effectively operate the awnings. When campers are caught off guard at campsites it is difficult to secure the awning and prevent it from opening during interstate driving. I've contacted Dometic manufacturing, and they tell me the 3316605-001 motor has been replaced with a 3317084.000U. They do not have any motors in stock and recommended I search for a replacement on-line. I called local supply stores and searched online for motor sources, and they …

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2020-2021 Rockwood trailers, model RLT2205S-W. The Federal Placard indicates an incorrect Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR).
Consequence: The incorrect Federal Placard may result in the operator unknowingly overloading the vehicle, causing loss of control, and increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will provide replacement placards that contain the accurate information, free of charge. This recall began July 17, 2020. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-642-8943. Forest River's number for this recall is 10B-1185.

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2021 Forest River Rockwood and Flagstaff fifth wheels recreational vehicles. The pin box may be under-rated for the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of the vehicle.
Consequence: The underrated pin-box may fail, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will inspect, and if necessary replace the pin box, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed May 7, 2021. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-642-8943. Forest River's number for this recall is 10C-1319.

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Coachmen Adrenaline, Apex, Catalina, Freedom Express, Spirit, East to West Alta, Della Terra, Silver Lake, Forest River Cedar Creek, Cherokee, Columbus, Flagstaff, Impression, Ozark, Rockwood, Sabre, Salem, Sandstorm, Shockwave, Stealth, Stealth Evo, Vengeance, Vibe, Wildwood, XLR Toyhauler, Palomino Puma, Prime Time Avenger, Crusader, Lacrosse, Sanibel, Shasta Oasis, 2022 Coachmen Cross Trail, Prism, Forest River Aurora, Rainier, Wildcat, Work and Play, Prime Time Tracer, 2021-2023 Coachmen Leprechaun, and 2022-2023 Coachmen Freelander fifth wheel and travel trailer recreational vehicles. The quick disconnect fittings in the LP gas system may be cracked, causing a gas leak.
Consequence: A gas leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the quick disconnect and perform a LP system check, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 20, 2022. Owners may contact the applicable customer service number for their vehicle model. Please see the recall report for the list of phone numbers.
