The contact owns a 2023 Forest River Cedar Creek. The contact stated that while the oven was in use, the glass exploded, and shards of glass struck her on the legs. The RV had not yet been taken to an independent mechanic or a local dealer to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 800. The VIN was not available.

Driver's side rear: Blew out while at Shaw RV while they were moving it between lots. When I went to pick up the trailer on August 28th, I saw the blown out tire on the spare rack and the spare mounted in its place. Picture below shows the tire blown out. This tire was replaced at Discount Tire in Wake Forest, NC. Passenger side front: We were traveling and arrived at the RV park on Sunday, [XXX]. Flex frame is failing: the front structural rv moves noticeable when pin box is pushed, which is leading to interior cracking and wall separation. Issues was not resolved with resolution fox in 2025. The flex Fram is still failing and Forrest River jas no resolution.

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2023 Cherokee CKT36FBOP Travel Trailers. The safety chains may be insufficient for the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) listed on the federal placard, which can allow the trailer to detach. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."
Consequence: A trailer that detaches from a vehicle increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will install a new Federal Placard, free of charge. All affected vehicles are still in dealer inventory and therefore no owner notification letters will be sent. Owners may contact Forest River Customer Service at1-260)-499-2100. Forest River's number for this recall is 89-1618.
