ONE WEEK AFTER TAKING DELIVERY OF FOREST RIVER TRAVEL TRAILER, I TOWED THE TRAVEL TRAILER TO A LAKE THAT WAS 90 MILES FROM HOME. FORTY FIVE MILES INTO THE DRIVE, AT A STRAIGHT STRETCH OF STATE HIGHWAY MN-47 THAT HAD A HUMP IN THE ROAD, THE TOW VEHICLE AND TRAILER UNDULATED CAUSING THE TRAILER TO BECOME UNHOOKED FROM THE TOW HITCH. THE TRAILER CONTINUED TO BE TOWED UNTIL I COULD GET TO A SAFE SPOT TO PULL OVER WITH THE TRAILER TO BE RE-HITCHED. I BROUGHT THE TRAILER TO THE DEALER AND LEFT THE TOW HITCH FOR THEIR ASSESSMENT. WHEN I HAVE THE AIR CONDITIONER RUNNING IN THE TRAVEL TRAILER, AND HAVE THE HOT WATER HEATER ON USING PROPANE THE RV FILLS UP WITH CARBON MONOXIDE. IT SETS OFF BOTH MY ALARMS. I HAD A TECH LOOK AT IT BUT COULD NOT FIND OUT WHERE THE FUMES ARE COMING IN FROM. IT LOOKS LIKE A DESIGN FLORE OF THE MANUFACTURER, FOREST RIVER. SO FAR THEY HAVE BEEN NO HELP. THE UNIT IS STATIONARY IN AN RV PARK.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FOREST RIVER CHEROKEE RV. THE CONTACT HEARD AN ABNORMAL POPPING NOISE AND NOTICED THAT THE SPRING TO THE AXLE WAS FRACTURED. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO CAMPING WORLD OF ROBERTSDALE (21282 AL-59, ROBERTSDALE, AL 36567, [phone removed]), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

CAMPER FURRION DV3100 STEREO SAFETY HAZARD. THE CAMPER WAS STATIONARY AND IN USE AT A NYS PARK WHEN THE FAILURE OCCURRED. THIS RADIO FAILURE RESULTED IN ONE OF THE STEREO CHANNELS OUTPUTTING PURE DC POWER TO THE SPEAKER SHORTING THE SPEAKER OUT. THE RESULTING POWER DISSIPATION CAUSED THE SPEAKER CASE TO BEGIN MELTING. IF LEFT UNCHECKED OR UNATTENDED THIS MOST LIKELY WOULD HAVE RESULTED IN A VEHICLE FIRE. The contact owns a 2015 Forest River Cherokee travel trailer. The contact stated that rainwater leaked into the RV through the side panels and passenger's side sliding door. The rainwater leaked from the passenger's side sliding door and spread into the master bedroom causing water damage to the floor. Additionally, the passenger's side sliding door was inoperable. trailer bolts and nuts dont hold trailer on and break off. Cab of trailer is moving on frame and cab can come off of frame while driving. I have several of these model trailers and they all have the same problem. In addition, ive ask other owners of these trailers and they also have the same problem.

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2003-2018 Forest River Berkshire, Charleston, Rockport, Cedar Creek, Cherokee, Riverstone, Salem, Sandpiper, Sierra, Vengeance, Wildcat, Wildwood, XLR Boost, Cargo Mate, Continental Cargo, motorhomes, recreational trailers, toyhaulers, cargo trailers and restroom trailers and 2009-2018 Coachmen Mirada, Pursuit, Concord, Leprechaun, Freelander, Orion and Prism motorhomes, 2009-2017 Coachmen Apex and Catalina recreational trailers, and 2013-2017 Shasta Oasis and Revere recreational trailers, equipped with Kidde Plastic-Handle or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. Consequence: In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.
Remedy: Forest River will notify owners, instructing them to contact Kidde for a replacement fire extinguisher, free of charge. The recall began on December 27, 2017. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-800-348-7440, or Kidde customer service toll free at 1-855-262-3540, or online at www.kidde.com and click on "Product Safety Recall" for more information. Reported: 2017-12-21 (December 21, 2017)
Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2015-2018 Cascade and Cherokee recreational trailers. The trailer wiring may have been improperly routed, allowing the wires to be pinched between the chassis and the vehicle body.
Consequence: Pinched wires may short circuit, increasing the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the trailers, rerouting the wires, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on February 7, 2018. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-541-644-8072. Forest River's number for this recall is 64-0456.
