Reported: 2024-10-18 (October 18, 2024)
Forest River Bus, LLC (Forest River) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Collins MFSAB, Collins CL9, 2025 Magellan and 2026 Mid Bus school buses. The incorrect child seat latch bar was installed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 225, "Child Restraint Anchorage Systems."
Consequence: The incorrect latch bar may make it difficult or impossible to correctly install a child seat, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the latch bar, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 18, 2024. Owners may contact Forest River Customer Service at (620) 888-3310. Forest River's number for this recall is 551-1851.

Reported: 2025-05-30 (May 30, 2025)
Forest River Bus, LLC (Forest River Bus) is recalling certain 2023-2027 Collins Bus school buses. The lock on the emergency exit door may fail to unlock. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 217, "Bus Emergency Exits and Window Retention and Release."
Consequence: An emergency exit that remains locked can prevent or delay passengers from evacuating during an emergency, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the barrel latch, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 30, 2025. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-620-888-3361. Forest River Bus's number for this recall is 551-1931.
