Owner report 10261745 · 2009-03-13 (March 13, 2009)

ON THE 2009 FORD TAURUS, THE WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID MISSES THE MIDDLE BOTTOM SECTION, TRIANGULAR IN SHAPE, APPROX ONE FOOT HIGH. THIS CAUSES ONE HUGE BLIND SPOT IN BAD WEATHER, ESPECIALLY IN THE WINTER. MY 2008 TAURUS DID NOT HAVE THIS ISSUE. THE DEALERSHIP SAID ALL OF THE 2009'S ARE THE SAME AND THEY WOULD NOT GET PAID TO FIX IT. FORD TOLD ME TO CALL THE OWNER OF THE CAR -ARI, FLEET LEASE. THIS IS A BIG SAFETY ISSUE THAT WILL CAUSE ACCIDENTS. I HAVE NOT HAD AN ACCIDENT YET. *TR

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 FORD TAURUS. WHEN THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO APPLY THE BRAKES, SHE NOTICED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS ACCELERATING BY ITSELF. SHE REACHED FOR THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, BUT IT WAS STUCK TO THE FLOORBOARD. SHE WAS ABLE TO LIFT THE PEDAL BACK UP AND DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL. THE DEALER HAS NOT YET BEEN NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY AT THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE BECAUSE SHE IS AFRAID TO DRIVE TO THE DEALER. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE UNKNOWN.
