THE CONSUMER NOTICED THAT IT WAS A REAL EFFORT TO TOW THE TRAILER AS IT WAS FREQUENTLY SWAYING. THE BOTTOM OF THE DIAMOND PLATE BENT. ***NAR RECEIVED 10-18-05*** *TS THE CONSUMER USED THE TRAILER FOR FOUR TRIPS TOTALING 1400 MILES. DURING THE THIRD TRIP THE CONSUMER NOTICED THAT THE TONGUE OF THE TRAILER WAS BENDING UPWARD CAUSING THE DIAMOND PLATE AT THE FRONT OF THE TRAILER TO PINCH-UP. ON THE FOURTH AND LAST TRIP THE WITH THE TRAILER IN MAY THE CONSUMER NOTICED SIGNIFICANT BENDING OF THE BOTTOM OF THE DIAMOND PLATE AND BENDING HIGHER …

CERTAIN TRAVEL TRAILERS FAIL TO COMPLY WITH REQUIREMENTS OF PART 567, "CERTIFICATION." THE INCORRECT GROSS AXLE WEIGHT RATING (GAWR) WAS PRINTED ON THE LABEL. THE CORRECT GAWR WEIGHT FIGURE SHOULD BE 5080 LB PER AXLE.
Remedy: OWNERS ARE BEING PROVIDED WITH CORRECT LABELS AND INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS. IF AN OWNER IS NOT COMFORTABLE INSTALLING THIS LABEL, THEY CAN TAKE IT TO THEIR DEALER AND THE DEALER WILL INSTALL IT AT NO CHARGE. OWNER NOTIFICATION IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN DURING NOVEMBER 2003. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT FLEETWOOD AT 1-800-444-3307.
