TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 FIAT 500X. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, THE VEHICLE INDEPENDENTLY SHIFTED OUT OF DRIVE AND INTO NEUTRAL. THE CONTACT PULLED OVER AND RE-SHIFTED INTO DRIVE AND CONTINUED DRIVING. AFTER ARRIVING TO HER DESTINATION, SHE ATTEMPTED TO PARK AND THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED AND CRASHED INTO A GUARDRAIL. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 FIAT 500X. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE REFUELING THE VEHICLE, GASOLINE SPILLED OUT ONTO THE GROUND. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FIAT & ALFA ROMEO DE SAN JUAN LOCATED AT ACUARELA 59 - MARGINAL MARTNEZ NADAL, URB, MUOZ RIVERA, 00969, PUERTO RICO, TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FUEL TANK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. INVALID VIN.

THE PROBLEM STARTED WHEN I STARTED THE CAR FOR THE FIRST TIME IT WAS SHOWING A WARNING WITH THE SECURITY SYSTEM OF THE CAR, WHEN I GO TO THE GAS STATION I TRIED TO PUMP GAS AND THE PUMP STOPS PUMPING AND THE CAR WON'T TAKE THE GAS, THROWING IT OUTSIDE, AND SPILLING GAS ON THE FLOOR OF THE GAS STATION AND SPILLING IN MY CLOTHES. TO FILL THE TANK TOOK MY MORE THAN 10 MINUTES TO FIILL IT COMPLETELY, THIS SITUATION WILL CONTINUE TO OCCUR EVERYTIME I WILL FILL THE TANK IF IT WAS LOWER THAN HALF SO AFTER THAT I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP TO DO A…

19V287000 · Air Bags: Air Bag/Restraint Control Module | Electrical System:Software
Reported: 2019-04-10 (April 10, 2019)
Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2019 Jeep Renegade and Fiat 500X vehicles. Incorrect software may cause the occupant restraint controller (ORC) module to disable certain passive safety features.
Consequence: Deactivated passive safety features can increase the risk of injury in the event of a crash.
Remedy: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will update the ORC module software, free of charge. The recall began May 2, 2019. Owners may contact Chrysler's customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is V42.

Reported: 2024-07-03 (July 3, 2024)
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2017-2024 Alfa Romeo Giulia, 2018-2025 Alfa Romeo Stelvio, 2019-2023 Fiat 500X, Jeep Renegade, and 2024 Fiat 500E vehicles. A seat belt buckle switch sensor may be improperly connected, preventing the front seat air bag from deploying as intended.
Consequence: A front seat air bag that does not deploy as intended can increase the risk of injury in a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will repair the connection, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed beginning August 27, 2024. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 82B.
