ON A SUNDAY AFTERNOON, I WAS GOING FOR A DRIVE ON THE 605 FREEWAY. ABOUT 15 MINUTES LATER ON THE FREEWAY, I GOT OFF THE FREEWAY TO HEAD TOWARDS THE BEACH. WHILE I WAS STUCK ON A RED LIGHT I SAW SMOKE COMING OUT OF THE REAR OF MY FERRARI. I PULLED OVER IMMEDIATELY TO SEE WHAT WAS WRONG. I COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH CAR. I THOUGHT I BLEW A RADIATOR BUT THAT WASN'T IT EITHER. SO I DROVE THE CAR BACK HOME SLOWLY THROUGH THE STREETS. NEXT DAY I TOOK IT TO ONE OF MY FRIENDS MECHANIC TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON BEFORE I CALLED T…

WHILE EXITING THE HIGHWAY FLAMES WERE NOTED IN THE REAR VIEW MIRROR. FIRE STARTED BEHIND DRIVER SIDE IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THE CAR HAD BEEN DRIVEN APPROXIMATELY 14 MILES AND HAD NO SIGNS OF IMPENDING FIRE PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT. CAR HAD JUST OVER 15000 MILES WITH A 30000 MILE MAJOR SERVICE PERFORMED AT 14,094 MILES ON 6/1/2016.
