2003 KIT EXTREME MODEL 22TXU TRAVEL TRAILER.PURCHASED NEW FROM LA MESA RV IN DAVIS ,CA IN 04/2003. I TAKE 4-6 TRIPS A YEAR. APPX 15K TOTAL MILES ON TRAILER TO DATE. GVWR OF 10890.EQUIPPED WITH TWO 5200 LBS AXLES AND ST 225/75R15D TIRES ON 15X6 TWO PIECE STEEL RIMS. MULTIPLE BLOWOUTS ON TIRES THROUGH THE YRS AND LAST TWO TRIPS I HAVE HAD 2 RIM FAILURES.ONE HAS CRACKED ON BEAD EDGE AND OTHER HAS COMPLETELY BROKEN CENTER SECTION AWAY FROM OUTER SECTION RESULTING IN TIRE/RIM HALF COMING OFF TRAILER IN TOW. DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WATER WAS NOTICED LEAKING BETWEEN THE ROOF AND CEILING THROUGH THE SKY LIGHT. UPON VISUAL INSPECTION, IT WAS NOTICED THAT THE SKY LIGHT WAS NOT INSTALLED CORRECTLY. ALSO, THE CEILING BEHIND THE LIGHT FIXTURE WAS SCORCHED AND CRACKING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED, WHO SUGGESTED THAT REFLECTIVE TAPE BE PLACED BETWEEN THE LIGHTBULB AND THE BACKING OF THE FIXTURE OR TO PLACE SPACERS BETWEEN THE FIXTURES AND CEILING.
