17V685000 · Seat Belts:Front:Buckle Assembly | Seat Belts

Reported: 2017-10-27 (October 27, 2017)

Eldorado National-California, Inc. (Eldorado National) is recalling certain 2017 Axess, E-Z Rider, XHF, and Arrivo buses, equipped with certain Recaro Commercial Bus Driver Seats, models Ergo R, Ergo D, AM71, AM72 and AM80. In the affected seats, the seat belt buckle may be stuck in the locked position, preventing the seat belt tongue from being able to be inserted and locked.

Consequence: If the seat belt becomes stuck in the locked position, the bus may be operated without the seat belt being used, increasing the risk of injury in the event of a crash.

Remedy: Eldorado National will notify owners, and dealers will replace the buckle housings, free of charge. The recall began on December 1, 2017. Owners may contact Eldorado National customer service at 1-909-591-9557.

18V926000 · Seats

Reported: 2018-12-18 (December 18, 2018)

Eldorado National-California, Inc is recalling certain 2017-2018 Arrivo, EZR Max BRT and Passport buses. When the back seat cushion is rotated from the stowed position to the upright position, the seat cushion may not remain locked into place when under load, such as in a crash or a sudden stop. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 207, "Seating Systems," and number 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."

Consequence: In the event of a crash, if the seat back moves, the seat occupant has an increased risk of injury.

Remedy: Eldorado National California has notified owners, and dealers will inspect and repair the affected seats, free of charge. The recall began on January 31, 2019. Owners may contact Eldorado National-California Customer Service at 1-909-591-9557 or Freedman Seating Company at 1-800-443-4540.

24V074000 · Equipment Adaptive/Mobility:Wheelchair Lift/Ramp

Reported: 2024-02-07 (February 7, 2024)

Eldorado National-California, Inc. (ENC) is recalling certain 2012-2023 XHF and Arrivo vehicles equipped with a Ricon wheelchair lift. The red beacon lighting on the threshold warning system (TWS) may not be bright enough. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 403, "Platform Lift Systems."

Consequence: Beacons that do not provide proper illumination may be less visible to wheelchair lift users, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy: ENC will work with Ricon to replace the TWS kits, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 4, 2024. Owners may contact ENC customer service at 1-951-684-6868.
