VEHICLE IS A 2018 MERCEDES BENZ SPRINTER-BASED 24 FT MOTORHOME. IT WAS STATIONARY WITH ENGINE OFF. WHEN ROTATING THE DRIVER'S SWIVEL SEAT 180 DEGREES (WHICH IT IS DESIGNED TO DO), UNDERSEAT WIRING WAS SEVERED DUE TO IMPROPER WIRE ROUTING BY THE "UPFITTER" (DYNAMAX CORP), THUS CAUSING AN INSTRUMENT PANEL WARNING OF "SRS FAULT; PROCEED IMMEDIATELY TO REPAIR FACILITY". THIS ANALYSIS WAS MADE BY MERCEDES BENZ OF KANSAS CITY SERVICE DEPARTMENT WHERE A REPAIR WAS PERFORMED. MERCEDES BENZ REFUSED COVERAGE UNDER THE CHASSIS WARRANTY SO I PAID THE R…

Owner report 11245359 · 2019-08-20 (August 20, 2019)
WE PURCHASED THIS MOTORHOME ON 8/12/19. THE LEVELING SYSTEM WAS NOT WORKING SO UPON CRAWLING UNDERNEATH TO FIND OUT WHAT WAS LEAKING WE DISCOVERED A COUPLING IN THE MODIFIED BRAKE LINE LEAKING. WE CHECKED THE BRAKE FLUID AND HALF WAS GONE. WE CONTACTED DYNAMAX WHO CLAIMED IT WAS CHRYSLERS RESPONSIBILITY. WE TOOK IT TO CHRYSLER AND THEY INFORMED US IT WAS MODIFIED AND NOT THEY'RE RESPONSIBILITY. WE THEN FOUND A STICKER THAT SAID IT HAD BEEN MODIFIED BY MOR/RYDE. WE CALLED THEM AND THEY DID NOT KNOW. WE AGAIN CALLED DYNAMAX AGAIN AFTER 3 DAYS OF …

Owner report 11490862 · 2022-10-25 (October 25, 2022)
The ABS (anti lock braking system) module failed resulting in ongoing beeping with display warning to service the system, and intermittent failure of other electrical features. A local mechanic diagnosed the problem and recommended replacement of the module. The Dynamax RV is a coach built on a Ram 5500 chassis. I was able to obtain a new replacement ABS module, but then learned that it had to be installed and "flashed" (programmed) by a dealer. I contacted Dynamax (now owned by Forest River), but have not received a reply. I then contacted t…

ABS light and warning bell on and sounding. Traction control light also on. Diagnostic shows error code c0020-01, ABS pump motor electrical failure. A canvass of every Dodge/Chrysler part supplier and all other possible parts suppliers including junk yards in the US and Canada revealed “no part (ABS Hydraulic Unit, 6834. 7099 AC) is available anywhere in the US or Canada. I was advised that it would be unsafe to drive the vehicle. I am stuck 2400 miles from my home with no solutions from anyone including Dynamax and Chrysler.

Recall history
3 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.
17V707000 · Engine And Engine Cooling:Engine
Reported: 2017-11-10 (November 10, 2017)
Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2017-2018 Dynamax Isata vehicles, models ISC36DSD, ISC35DBD, ISC36DSD4X4, built on RAM chassis equipped with Cummins 6.7L Turbo Diesel engines that have Concentric-brand water pumps without a vent hole. These water pumps may leak coolant.
Consequence: The leaking water pump can increase the risk of an engine compartment fire.
Remedy: Forest River will notify owners and Chrysler/RAM dealers will replace the water pumps, free of charge. The recall began on December 4, 2017. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-262-3474 extension 212, or Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Forest River's number for this recall is 55-0564.
NHTSA campaign record ↗19V295000 · Power Train:Automatic Transmission:Lever And Linkage:Column Shift
Reported: 2019-04-11 (April 11, 2019)
Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2018 Dynamax Isata vehicles built on a RAM chassis and equipped with a column shifter. Pushing the brake pedal for prolonged periods when the vehicle is running and in PARK may cause the Brake Transmission Shift Interlock (BTSI) pin to stick in the open position. With the pin in the open position, the transmission can be shifted out of PARK into any gear without pushing the brake pedal or having the key in the ignition.
Consequence: Being able to shift the transmission without pushing the brake pedal and/or without a key in the ignition can increase the risk of an unintended vehicle rollaway that may result in personal injury or a crash.
Remedy: Forest River will notify owners, and Chrysler dealers will update the vehicle software, inspect the BTSI, and, as necessary, replace it, free of charge. The recall began May 6, 2019. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403 or Forest River at 1-574-262-3474. Forest River's number for this recall is 55-0993.
