2 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

03V468000 · Wheels:Lugs/Nuts/Bolts/Studs

Reported: 2003-11-25 (November 25, 2003)

ON CERTAIN TRAVEL TRAILERS EQUIPPED WITH OPTIONAL ALUMINUM ALLOY WHEELS, INCORRECT WHEEL BOLTS WERE INSTALLED.

Consequence: LOOSENING OF THE WHEEL BOLTS COULD OCCUR, CAUSING A WHEEL SEPARATION INCIDENT, AND RESULTING IN A CRASH.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE WHEEL BOLTS. ALSO, DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE MATING SURFACE OF THE ALUMINUM ALLOY WHEEL FOR DAMAGE AND REPLACE IF NECESSARY. OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT DUTCHMEN AT 1-219-534-1224.

06V491000 · Equipment:Recreational Vehicle/Trailer:Lpg Systems:Furnace

Reported: 2006-12-22 (December 22, 2006)

ON CERTAIN RECREATIONAL TRAILERS, A FURNACE VENT WAS NOT INSTALLED. THE LACK OF AN EXHAUST VENT ALLOWS FURNACE COMBUSTION PRODUCTS CONTAINING CARBON MONOXIDE FUMES TO VENT INTO THE TRAILER.

Consequence: THIS COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH TO THE OCCUPANTS OF THE TRAILER.

Remedy: OWNERS WILL BE INSTRUCTED TO VISUALLY CHECK FOR THE PRESENCE OF THE EXHAUST VENT ON THE EXTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE. IF THE EXHAUST VENT IS NOT PRESENT OR IF THERE ARE ANY OTHER QUESTIONS, THE OWNER WILL BE INSTRUCTED NOT TO USE THE FURNACE AND TO TAKE THEIR TRAILER TO THE NEAREST DUTCHMEN DEALER OR SERVICE CENTER FOR REPAIR. THE RECALL BEGAN ON DECEMBER 31, 2006. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT DUTCHMEN AT 1-219-534-1224.
