VIN #'S ARE LOANED FROM CRUISE CAR, A FLORIDA GOLF CART MANUFACTURER, MARKETED AND SOLD BY MOKE AMERICA, A COMPANY THAT DOES NOT OWN THE MOKE TRADEMARK, MOKE AMERICA HAS FRANCHISED DEALERS FOR THEIR CARS AND DIRECT SALES TO CONSUMERS. BUT THEY ARE DEFRAUDING CUSTOMERS AS THE VEHICLES ARE NOT MOKE. FURTHERMORE, THE VEHICLES ARE ORDERED FROM CHINA AS COMPLETE ASSEMBLED UNITS AND MARKETED AS MADE IN AMERICA BY MOKE AMERICA AS IF IT WAS A CAR MANUFACTURER. Reported: 2019-12-18 (December 18, 2019)
Cruise Car, Inc. (Cruise Car) is recalling certain 2019 Moke vehicles. The vehicles may be equipped with a windshield of the incorrect glass quality rating. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 205, "Glazing Materials."
Consequence: The incorrect windshield could affect the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Cruise Car will notify owners, and dealers will replace the windshield, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 19, 2019. Owners may contact Cruise Car customer service at 1-941-929-1630.
