TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 COUNTRY COACH ALLURE RV. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HIS MECHANIC INSPECTED THE CHASSIS AND FOUND THAT THE BRAKES WERE IMPROPERLY LUBRICATED. THE CHASSIS WILL HAVE TO BE REMOVED IN ORDER TO LUBE THE BRAKES. THE CONTACT STATED THAT BRAKE FAILURE COULD OCCUR IN THE INTERIM. THE VIN AND MILEAGES WERE UNKNOWN.

2 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASING MY NEW 2009 COUNTRY COACH AFFINITY MOTORHOME, MY SE-GI BRAND DRIVERS SIDE DUAL PANE COCKPIT WINDOW DEVELOPED MOISTURE BETWEEN THE PANES THEREFORE RESTRICTING AND IMPAIRING MY VISIBILITY WHILE DRIVING. I PHONED SE-GI AND THEY SAID SINCE COUNTRY COACH WAS IN BANKRUPTCY THEY WERE GOING TO BE SELECTIVE AND NOT WARRANTY MY WINDOW. I PAID $737.00 TO HAVE A NEW WIDOW INSTALLED AND THEN I LOCATED A SE-GI WARRANTY CARD IN MY OWNERS MANUAL THAT CLEARLY STATES I HAVE A 3 YEAR WARRANTY. *TR

08V327000 · Engine And Engine Cooling:Engine:Diesel

Reported: 2008-07-18 (July 18, 2008)

COUNTRY COACH IS RECALLING CERTAIN MOTOR HOMES EQUIPPED WITH CATERPILLAR C9 DIESEL ENGINES. THE FUEL PUMP OUTLET CHECK PLUG MAY BE CRACKED WHICH COULD CAUSE FUEL TO SPRAY AND LEAK.

Consequence: FUEL LEAKAGE, IN THE PRESENCE OF AN IGNITION SOURCE, COULD RESULT IN A FIRE.

Remedy: COUNTRY COACH IS WORKING WITH CATERPILLAR (PLEASE SEE 08E042). CATERPILLAR WILL REPLACE THE FUEL PUMP PLUG FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN DURING JULY 2008. OWNERS MAY CONTACT CATERPILLAR AT 1-800-447-4986 OR COUNTRY COACH AT 1-800-452-8015.
