Recall history

1 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

14V011000 · Structure

Reported: 2014-01-23 (January 23, 2014)

Cornelius Manufacturing (Cornelius) is recalling certain 2012-2014 model year Deckover Flatbed Trailers manufactured February 2012 through November 2013, and equipped with a ten foot hydraulic dovetail. In the affected trailers, the welded boxes that allows the tail to pivot may fail.

Consequence: If the boxes fail, only the hydraulic cylinders would remain to keep the tail from separating from the main part of the trailer. Should the cylinders fail, then the tail could detach, increasing the risk of an accident.

Remedy: Cornelius will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the boxes and re-weld them if necessary, free of charge. The recall began on March 20, 2014. Customers may contact Cornelius at 1-812-636-4319.
