The contact owns a 2024 Forest River Catalina RV. The contact stated that the weight capacity information on the federal weight sticker was incorrect. The contact stated that due to the error, one of the wheels on the RV experienced a blowout. The contact stated that the sticker indicated a tire loading weight of 1432 lbs., which was lower than the correct load weight. The local dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 6,000.

Reported: 2024-02-09 (February 9, 2024)

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2024 Coachmen Catalina and Forest River Aurora travel trailers. The tire may contact the slide adjustment bolt and puncture the tire.

Consequence: A punctured tire can cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the slide adjustment bolt and install a shackle kit, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 19, 2024. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-825-4995. Forest River's number for this recall is 205-1735.

24V254000 · Electrical System:Wiring

Reported: 2024-04-05 (April 5, 2024)

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2024 Aurora and Coachmen Catalina Travel Trailers. Improper routing may leave the distribution panel wire unprotected from the battery.

Consequence: An unprotected wire increases the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will reroute the distribution panel wire to the breaker side of the mini breaker, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 26, 2024. Owners may contact Forest River Customer Service at 1-574-825-4995. Forest River's number for this recall is 203-1757.

24V280000 · Equipment:Appliance:Oven/Stove/Cooktop

Reported: 2024-04-19 (April 19, 2024)

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2024 Coachmen Catalina BCAT154RDX and Forest River Aurora BART15RDX travel trailers. The panel that isolates the cooktop from the furnace was not properly sealed during manufacturing, which could result in an inverted cooktop flame.

Consequence: A inverted cooktop flame increases the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will seal the furnace from the cooktop, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 1, 2024. Owners may contact Forest River Customer Service at 1-574-825-4995. Forest River's number for this recall is 203-1766.

Reported: 2025-02-21 (February 21, 2025)

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2017-2025 Coachmen Catalina, 2020-2025 Aurora, and 2025 Puma travel trailers. The Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) on the Federal placard may exceed the safety chain rating. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) numbers 110, "Tire Selection and Rims" and 120, "Wheels and Rims - Other Than Passenger Cars."

Consequence: An incorrect weight rating may lead to unintentionally overloading the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Forest River will mail owners a corrected Federal Placard with application instructions, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 24, 2025. 25V245000 · Structure:Body:Step/Ladder

Reported: 2025-04-14 (April 14, 2025)

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Coachmen Catalina, Forest River Aurora, Cascade, Cedar Creek, Cherokee, Sandpiper, Sierra, 2025 Campsite Reserve, Impression, Pause, Puma, Sabre, Salem, Vengeance, and Wildwood fifth wheel and travel trailers, equipped with a removable step assembly. The clip-on bracket mounting bolts may come loose, allowing the steps to detach.

Consequence: Steps that detach while in use increase the risk of injury.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and repair or replace the clip-on bracket as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 28, 2025. 25V264000 · Electrical System:Wiring

Reported: 2025-04-18 (April 18, 2025)

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Forest River Aurora and Coachmen Catalina travel trailers. Please see the 573 report for the complete list of model numbers. The front exterior accent lights, awning, and auto-leveling system may be incorrectly wired and not have proper over current circuit protection.

Consequence: Wiring without circuit protection may become damaged and short circuit, increasing the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will add circuit protection to the accent lights, awning, and auto leveling system, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 29, 2025. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-825-4995. Forest River's number for this recall is 300-1922.
