Owner report 10632596 · 2014-09-11 (September 11, 2014)
A CELL IN THE BATTERY SHORTED AND THE CAP TO THAT CELL MELTED OFF. I WAS VERY CONCERNED THAT THE BATTERY WOULD EXPLODE OR LEAK ACID ONTO THE REST OF THE MOTORCYCLE. I'M NOT SURE IF THIS HAPPENED DURING ONE OF MY RIDES, BUT I DID NOTICE IT DURING A PRE-RIDE INSPECTION. THE DEALER WAS KIND ENOUGH TO SEND A REPLACEMENT LITHIUM BATTERY. *TR

Owner report 10632600 · 2014-09-11 (September 11, 2014)
WHILE RIDING MY MOTORCYCLE, THE SHIFT LEVER BROKE IN TWO. I WAS ABLE TO GET THE MOTORCYCLE SAFELY OFF THE ROAD AND RECOVER THE PART THAT WAS ON THE ROAD. UPON INSPECTION, I FOUND THAT THE LEVER HAD BROKEN AT A WELDED AREA. UNDERNEATH THE WELDS WAS RUST. THIS MAKES ME CONCERNED THAT ANY OF THE WELDS ON THE MOTORCYCLE CAN HAVE RUST UNDERNEATH THEM, ESPECIALLY ON A MOTORCYCLE THAT IS LESS THAN A YEAR OLD. *TR

WHILE RIDING MY MOTORCYCLE, THE CLUTCH CABLE SNAPPED. I WAS ABLE TO BRING MY MOTORCYCLE ONTO THE SHOULDER BEFORE COMING TO A VIOLENT JERKING STOP. *TR
