Owner report 10047004 · 2003-11-16 (November 16, 2003)

WHEN REAR WINDOWS ARE ROLLED DOWN, WITH FRONT WINDOWS ROLLED UP, THERE IS AN AIR PRESSURE HARMONIC GENERATED THAT SHAKES THE INTERIOR OF THE CAR THAT IS VERY PAINFUL (EARS). THE EFFECT IS THAT IT SOUNDS LIKE A HELICOPTER IS IN THE CAR WITH YOU. THIS HARMONIC IS ALSO GENERATED SLIGHTLY BY THE SUNROOF BEING OPENED AND THE WINDOWS ROLLED UP. THE SUNROOF HARMONIC WILL CEASE IF YOU PLACE A HAND OR ARM IN THE AIR STREAM. THESE ISSUES ARE NOT DEPENDENT ON THE INTERIOR LAYOUT OF THE VEHICLE (SEATS UP OR DOWN, OR SEAT POSITION). *LA

2 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

03V471000 · Fuel System, Gasoline:Delivery:Hoses, Lines/Piping, And Fittings

Reported: 2003-11-10 (November 10, 2003)

ON CERTAIN SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES, THE CHASSIS FUEL SUPPLY TUBE MAY HAVE BEEN INCORRECTLY MANUFACTURED.

Consequence: UNDER CERTAIN ENGINE AND VEHICLE DYNAMIC CONDITIONS, THE FUEL LINE MAY SEPARATE, RESULTING IN A FUEL LEAK AND AN INCREASED RISK OF A VEHICLE FIRE.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSTALL A SECONDARY RETENTION CLIP TO THE FUEL LINE QUICK CONNECT. OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN ON DECEMBER 15, 2003. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT DAIMLERCHRYSLER AT 1-800-992-1997.

Reported: 2004-03-04 (March 4, 2004)

ON CERTAIN SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH A NGC-1 POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE, THE SOFTWARE PROTOCOLE USED TO TEST THE VEHICLE EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION (EGR) SYSTEM MAY LEAD TO ENGINE STALLING UNDER CERTAIN OPERATING CONDITIONS.

Consequence: THIS COULD CAUSE A CRASH WITHOUT WARNING.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPROGRAM THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE SOFTWARE. OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN ON MARCH 15, 2004. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT DAIMLERCHRYSLER AT 1-800-853-1403.
