Owner report 10476946 · 2012-09-24 (September 24, 2012)

DRIVING AT POSTED SPEED LIMIT, BOTH SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAGS DEPLOYED CASING A VEHICLE ACCIDENT. IT IS IMPORTANT TO UNDERSTAND THAT THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED BEFORE THE ACCIDENT OCCURRED. THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEFLATE. I TRIED TO PULL THE CAR OVER BUT COULDN'T SEE AROUND THE AIRBAGS AND HIT THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. THE SOUND OF THE AIRBAGS EXPLODING SOUNDED LIKE A SHOTGUN GOING OFF. SINCE THE AIRBAGS NEVER DEFLATED, THE POLICE WOULD NOT LET ME MOVE THE CAR. I HAD IT TOWED TO A GARAGE THAT MY INSURANCE COMPANY SUGGESTED. THEY HOOKED UP A DEVICE TO THE COMP…

Owner report 11005149 · 2017-07-13 (July 13, 2017)

TRAVELING AT 55 MPH ON A FREEWAY, ENGINE STOPPED WITH NO NOTICE. SINCE THE ENGINE STOPPED, BRAKES AND STEERING EXPERIENCED GREATLY REDUCED CAPABILITY. I HAD TO STRUGGLE TO GET THE VEHICLE ON TO THE SHOULDER IN ORDER TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT. ONCE STOPPED, I GOT NO RESPONSE OF ANY KIND FROM THE STARTER, ALTHOUGH I HAD POWER TO THE BLOWER MOTOR, RADIO, AND POWER WINDOWS. AFTER 5 MINUTES, I WAS ABLE TO GET THE CAR STARTED.I TURNED AROUND TO DRIVE HOME, AND 5 MINUTES LATER THE PROBLEM RECURRED EXACTLY AS DESCRIBED ABOVE. THE VEHICLE IS NOW IN THE SHO…
