MY 1995 DIESEL SUBURBAN BEGAN RUNNING A LITTLE ROUGH. ONE MORNING JUST AFTER PULLING OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY THE ENGINE SUDDENLY SURGED UP TO 3000 RPM AND JUMPED FORWARD. FORTUNATELY I WAS ABLE TO CONTROL IT AND COAX IT BACK INTO THE DRIVEWAY WITHOUT INCIDENT OR INJURY. RESEARCH WITH MY LOCAL DIESEL EXPERT SHOWED THAT THIS WAS DUE TO A FAILING INJECTOR PUMP AND FURTHERMORE IT IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THESE PUMPS. THE PROBLEM IS NOW EASILY REPRODUCED SIMPLY BY SITTING IN THE DRIVEWAY AND RUNNING THE TRUCK. IT WILL START, AND THEN REV TO 3000+ R…

TL* THE CONTACT 1995 CHEVROLET SUBURBAN WITH FIRESTONE STEEL TECH RADIAL A/T TIRES, LINE SIZE: LT245/75/R16. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE TIRE BLEW. THE SPARE TIRE ALSO FAILED. THE TIRE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE TIRE WAS REPLACED. THE DOT NUMBER WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 400. THE VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 164,432. *TR

SPARE TIRE INSTALLED ON VEHICLE TO REPLACE TIRE REMOVED FOR VALVE STEM CUT. USED FOR SEVERAL MONTHS WITH MINIMAL MILEAGE ACCUMULATED. TIRE WAS IN BRAND NEW CONDITION WITH NO VISIBLE TREAD WEAR. THE TIRE FAILURE AND TREAD BENT THE REAR QUARTER PANEL WHEN IT FLEW OFF THE VEHICLE. THE TIRE AND TREAD WERE LEFT AT THE FIRESTONE REPAIR FACILITY PROVIDING THE REPLACEMENT. TIRE SIZE LT24575R16 STEELTEX RADIAL A/T. TIRE MFG DATA LEFT WITH TIRE AT REPLACEMENT SERVICE CENTER. TRAVEL WAS ON THREE LANE I-78 EAST ON SUNNY AFTERNOON AT 55 MPH ACROSS FROM THE …

MY TWO REAR GOODYEAR WRANGLER HT LT245/75/R16 HAD RUBBER TREAD SEPARATION AT 3257 MILES, AND 3420 MILES. OUTSIDE TEMP WAS 95* TRAVELING ON HIGHWAY AT 65 MPH AND 55 MPH. PULLING AN EMPTY FLATBED TRAILER AT THE TIME. NO DAMAGE TO VEHICLE.
