THE AUTOMATIC PARK BRAKEON MY 1996 CHEVY P30 CHASSIE MOTORHOME LOCKED UP ON ME WHEN I WAS DRIVING. LUCKLY I WAS ONLY GOING SLOW IN REVERSE. I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF A ROAD WAY WHEN IT HAPPENED. I COULD NOT GET THE MOTORHOME TO MOVE IN REVERSE. EVERYTIME I PUT IT IN REVERSE AFTER THE INTIALLY LOCK UP IT WOULD ENGAGE THE AUTO PARK AND WOULD NOT MOVE. IT WAS EXTREMLLY NERVE RACKING AND UNSAFE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1996 CHEVROLET P30 CHASSIS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MOTOR HOME WAS EXPERIENCING MULTIPLE FAILURES. WHEN THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO PLACE THE GEAR SHIFT INTO REVERSE, THE SHIFT WAS NOT ABLE TO MOVE AND THE GEAR SHIFT WAS STUCK IN THE PARK POSITION. AFTER MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS, THE GEAR SHIFT WAS ABLE TO GO INTO THE DRIVE POSITION. CONSUMER STATES THAT AUTO PARK SYSTEM FAILS WHEN YOU ARE DRIVING. IT MAKES THE BRAKES TO APPLY AND THE VEHICLE STOPS BY IT SELF.DEALER HAS BEEN CONTACTED. MR CONSUMER STATES THAT THE FAILURE IS DUE TO THE PRESSURE SWITCH. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THE SWITCH HAS FAILED. PH 09-DEC-2002
