96 P-30 CHEVROLET: AUTO PARKING BRAKE,THIS IS TO ADVISE THAT THE AUTO PARKING BRAKE IS UNRELIBLE AND DANGERS.NOT ONLY TO THE DRIVER AND PASSENGERS,BUT ALSO TO ANY OTHER VEHICLE BEHIND IT, AS THIS AUTO BRAKE SYS WILL LOCK UP AND THE DRIVER DOES NOT HAVE ANY CONTROL OVER IT.

THE CONSUMER STATES HE FIRST EXPERIENCED A PROBLEM WITH THE AUTOMATIC PARKING BRAKE, THEN THE PARKING BRAKE FAILED TO RELEASE IN REVERSE, THE AUTO PARK LIGHT DID NOT GO OFF/EVEN THOUGH THE BRAKE WAS DISENGAGED, THE BRAKE WOULD NOT DISENGAGE AGAIN, AND THE AUTO PARK FAILED TO RELEASE IN AN IDENTICAL MANNER AS ABOVE, WHEN FILLING THE GAS TANK. DIAGNOSED BY THE DEALER; THERE WAS A FAILED PRESSURE SENSOR AND INDICATED THAT A TRANSMISSION SEAL FAILURE HAD ALLOWED THE TRANSMISSION FLUID TO LEAK INTO THE BRAKE DRUM AREA.
