I OWN A 2001 CHEVY IMPALA & A 2001 CHEVY TAHOE. I HAD CLUNKING NOISES COMING FORM THE STEERING. I TOOK THE IMPALA TO THE DEALER, THEY SAID IT WAS THE STEERING SHAFT AND THAT THEY'VE BEEN HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MANY OTHER CUSTOMERS. NOW I HAVE THE SAME STEERING/CLUNKING NOISE WITH MY TAHOE. ONE OF EMPLOYEES TOLD ME THEIR ON BACK ORDER FOR THE SAME PART FOR UP TO A 3 MONTH WAITING PERIOD. SO FROM MY EXPERIENCE, TWO VEHICLES, THE SAME COMPANY, THE SAME PROBLEM. THERE'S DEFINITELY A DEFECT AND I THINK THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL A.S.A.P. F…
