CAR ONLY HAS 40000 MILES ON IT AND WHENEVER I WOULD BRAKE OR COME UP TO A STOP LIGHT, THE WHEELS WOULD SHIMMY AND THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD VIBRATE. I WAS AFRAID IT WOULD NOT STOP AND WOULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. I TOOK IT TO THE CHEVROLET DEALER IN WALDORF MD. THE MECHANIC SAID HE COULD FIND NOTHING WRONG WITH IT AND COULD NOT MAKE IT DO IT. THAT WAS 2 MONTHS AGO AND IT STILL DOES IT ALL THE TIME. SOUNDS LIKE ALL THESE OTHER SIMILAR COMPLAINTS FOR THIS VEHICLE.. DEFECTIVE WARPED ROTORS. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND I CANNOT GET A DEALERSHIP TO FIX IT…

Owner report 10023747 · 2003-06-25 (June 25, 2003)
THIS IS A TOXIC CAR. IT HAS A MOLD PROBLEM AND IS MAKING ME SICK. THE CAR SMELLS LIKE MOLD. WE PULLED OUT ALL THE SEATS AND CARPET CLEANED EVERYTHING TO TRY TO GET IT OUT. IT STILL SMELLS LIKE MOLD. IT IS NOT THE HEATER OR AC AS THE SMELL IS COMING FROM THE BACK OF THE VEHICLE. THERE IS NO DAMPNESS BUT EVERYTHING I PUT IN THE BACK SEAT ENDS UP SMELLING LIKE MOLD. I CALL IT THE MOLD MOBILE. AFTER ABOUT 2 MINUTES, YOU CAN'T SMELL THE MOLD, SO IT MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO TRACK. THE DEALERSHIP IN WALDORF SAID IT WOULD TAKE DAYS TO LOCATE IT, BUT THEY …

Recall history
1 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.
99V239000 · Power Train:Clutch Assembly
Reported: 1999-08-27 (August 27, 1999)
VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: PASSENGER VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH MANUAL TRANSMISSIONS. THE CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER MAY HAVE BEEN BUILT WITH AN INCORRECT RETAINING RING.
Consequence: THIS MAY NOT ALLOW THE CLUTCH SYSTEM TO DISENGAGE THE CLUTCH WHEN THE CLUTCH PEDAL IS DEPRESSED, RESULTING IN UNINTENTIONAL VEHICLE MOVEMENT, INCREASED STOPPING DISTANCES, ENGINE STALLS, AND DIFFICULTY IN SHIFTING.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE HYDRAULIC CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER WITH A NEW CYLINDER.
