TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1990 CHEVROLET CHEYENNE 2500 WITH ACCC AMERICAN PROSPECT A/T TIRES, LINE SIZE 235/85R 16. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TWO FRONT TIRES SHREDDED AT THE SIDEWALL. THE CONTACT FOUND THAT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE TIRES. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE TIRES WERE NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 08T007000 (TIRES: SIDEWALL). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.

THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM STOPPED WORKING THE PARKING BREAK LIGHT FLASHES, THE CRUSE CONTROL DOESN'T WORK THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS DON'T TURN OFF. THE HEATER DOESN'T TURN OFF. THE PIN IN THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR BROKE AND THE PAINT IS PEELING OFF THE HOOD AND TOP OF THE TRUCK.

TRUCKS CAN CONTAIN INCORRECT INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO PROPERLY ADJUST REAR SEAT LAP-SHOULDER BELTS AS REQUIRED BY FMVSS 209.
Consequence: INCORRECTLY ADJUSTED SEAT BELT WOULD NOT PROPERLYRESTRAIN OCCUPANT IN AN ACCIDENT OF SUDDEN STOP; TRUCKS WOULD NOT COMPLY WITHFMVSS 209.
Remedy: PROVIDE OWNER'S MANUAL INSERT CONTAINING THE CORRECT REAR LAP-SHOULDER BELT INSTRUCTIONS.
